Getting started
Use the bot in a private chat or add it to a group.
Larpsium is a Telegram bot. Open t.me/LarpsiumBot and send it a token's contract address, a project link, or a specific claim with its link. It answers with one message: whether the project's story holds up against its sources, and, separately, what the holder ledger shows.
In a group
- Add @LarpsiumBot to the group.
- Ask explicitly:
/check@LarpsiumBot 0x…, or start a message with@LarpsiumBot check, or reply to a post with either. - Or just paste a contract: a message with exactly one contract address gets the token card, the same as in a private chat. Administrators can turn this off with
/autoscan off. - The bot sees plain group messages only when it is an administrator or its privacy mode is off (BotFather,
/setprivacy).
Why mentions may not arrive
Telegram's privacy mode decides what a bot sees in groups. With privacy mode on, a bot receives commands addressed to it (/check@Bot) and replies to its own messages, but not a plain @Bot check … mention. The operator runs Larpsium with privacy mode off so mentions work; the bot still ignores every message that does not address it and stores none of them. Telegram applies a privacy change only after the bot is removed and added again, so if mentions do nothing in your group, an administrator can remove and re-add the bot. /check@Bot always works.
